SHIMANO The Beastmaster 12000 MD (Monster Drive) is Shimano's largest and most powerful electric reel, with a motor twice the size of the popular Beastmaster 9000. Utilising an advanced oversized brushless motor that generates massive torque and speed, this reel is aimed at anglers targeting the biggest fish in the deepest waters around the world.
The Beastmaster 12000 MD is a reel for the ultra-deepwater specialist. Incredibly advanced and featuring Shimano's most powerful motor yet, generating 2.5 times the torque of the 9000 model, this powerful reel is surprisingly easy to use and offers impressive lifting power and speed. If you want to explore depths that are simply not possible with a conventional multiplier, there is no bigger, better or more advanced reel than the Beastmaster 12000 MD.
At the heart of the Monster Drive is the largest and most advanced brushless motor ever produced by Shimano. Generating huge amounts of torque and incredible retrieve speed, it has a winding force (motor power) of up to 38kg and a top speed of 170m per minute. Naturally this power needs to be used effectively to ensure maximum efficiency and the ultra-strong Hagane body ensures confident performance, even under the most extreme levels of force and pressure. The BeastMaster 12000 MD also boasts an incredible 43kg Thermo Adjust Drag, with a 50% reduction in drag heat thanks to the unique Thermo Adjust Drag technology, allowing you to dominate deep water species such as grouper, swordfish and large squid like never before. The fine-dot LCD screen is easy to read, even in strong sunlight and the E-Exciting Drag Sound function adjusts to let you know how hard it is working. For manual winding, the Beastmaster 12000 MD features a single aluminium handle with an ergonomic power knob.
